As much as we like to think we’re unique in all aspects, we do look to celebrities for inspiration from time to time. What are they wearing, what diet are they doing, where are they traveling and what hotels are they staying at. In this article, we’re going to pull a few celebrities travels must-haves and weigh in on whether we think they’re essential or just a tad extra.

Kora Organics Noni Glow Face Balm

ESSENTIAL

We all know that the moment we step foot on a plane our skin is in danger of dehydration. We hear of people bringing mists with them on the plane and though it’s a great start, the chance of your skin staying hydrated with a mist is slim to none. The key is to LAYER your product. Finishing off your face with a heavier balm will benefit your skin much more than constantly spraying it with a fine mist, locking your moisture in.

A Large Scarf

ESSENTIAL

We all know airplane cabins can get chilly. Bringing a large scarf that can double as a blanket or a pillow is definitely essential in our eyes. Buy a scarf in a nice pattern to elevate your airport look. Going to a warm-weather destination? Use it as a beach/pool cover-up when lounging by the water.

Julianne Moore

A Mini Flat Iron

EXTRA

We’d all like to look amazing when we exit the plane but a mini flat iron seems to be a bit of a waste of space in your carry on despite its mini size. As we went over above, airplane cabins are known to dehydrate your skin, your hair is no different. The LAST thing you want to do right after a long haul flight is to add high heat to your hair. Wait until you reach your hotel & final destination to pamper yourself a bit.

Noise Cancelling Headphones

ESSENTIAL

Block out the woman snoring behind to you, the baby screaming 5 rows up, or prematurely create a boundary between you and the guy sitting next to you who seems like he could be a chatty Charley. Take this time to really zone out, vibe to the music, get sucked into your favorite podcast (have you listened to Atlanta Monster?) or zone out to the sounds of a babbling brook.
